The internationalization of knowledge and the literary Renaissance speech
Resumo
The literary Renaissance speech, in a broad sense, reveals a consistency that assumes, implicitly or explicitly, a dialectical relationship between the world’s view, on a global scale – according to a concrete imitation of reality –, and the formal model from the Classical Antiquity. In this sense, becomes important in European humanist schools, in Latin – the common language of culture –, the rhetorical pedagogy. The grammar’s discipline includes the dialectics and the rhetoric, which is viewed as a text’s science, attentive not only to the wording but also to the enunciation’s process – concerning the language, the styles, and the art of composition – merging with the poetic. All over Europe, the aesthetic and cultural mímesis of the classical authors, of their wisdom, considered uox universalis, becomes fundamental in the rhetorical formation and in the art of composition of the authors of that period. In brief, the Renaissance literature, the literary discourse – in Latin or in the vernacular language, in prose and verse – becomes the main vector of the European cultural identity and the internationalization of knowledge.
Numa palavra, a literatura
