The UN agendas and their intersections: security, human rights and childhood
Resumo
The chapter analyses the intersection of international security, human
rights and childhood agendas in the context of the United Nations system. It addresses the
development of these three areas, the rules that are produced within their scope, and how
the security and human rights norms have opened room for the development of common
expectations and practices regarding the protection of children. The chapter argues that
the post-Cold War transformations have made possible the inclusion of child protection practices in the international political agenda, precisely at the intersection between these
policies, whose goal is to promote both international security and human rights.
O texto analisa a história do
