Mathematical education mediated by digital technologies: the use of computer programming as a pedagogical strategy
Resumo
This work relates to Mathematics Education mediated by digital technologies
and is part of an on-going PhD project conducted by the Digital Culture Research
Group of the University of Passo Fundo, Brazil. It aims to reflect on the use of computer
programming in the teaching and learning of Mathematics. The theoretical frame of the investigation
is in Gerard Vergnaud’s Theory of Conceptual Fields and in elements of the constructionist
theory of Seymour Papert. The current research is qualitative with an empirical
study. Based on the preliminary results, which point to the potential of the act of programming
for the recognition of operative invariants, it is intended to broaden the theoretical
reference and to replicate the empirical study based on the constitution of a pedagogical
strategy based on the Theory of Learning Styles.
Aprendizagem.
